Innovation Funding for Junior Journalists
The MIZ-Babelsberg periodically promotes an interdisciplinary team or up to three graduates of journalism schools in the conception and implementation of an innovative project proposal in cooperation with a project partner from the media.
A pioneering market-oriented project of the project partner serves as a basis for developing new journalistic forms of presentation. Together with broadcasters (TV and radio) as well as providers of audiovisual content innovative development approaches will be implemented for the broadcasting and media landscape.
The Innovation Funding for Journalists includes the individual financial support to a fixed monthly amount. The MIZ-Babelsberg also provides 1,500 euro for project-related coaching. The project partner takes on the substantial support and the strategic advice during the implementation.
The cooperation’s aim is a finished prototype or a marketable media product that can be distributed free of advertising by the project partner. The results of the project development will be published in a publication.
