CATCH is a digital service that extends the linear radio experience interactively. Users can save information and further backgrounds about airing programs on demand. An app or wifi-button helps to set these “bookmarks”, which can be recalled and shared through the app later on.
Radio stations can simultaneously use CATCH as a quantitative, real-time media analysis tool to gather detailed information about habits and needs of their audience. The funding’s objective is the development of the native app, the extraction of relevant data from the broadcasting software during operation, as well as the connection of a physical button.
The concept emerged in cooperation with Radioeins as part of the Advanced Track 2015 at the HPI School of Design Thinking in Potsdam.
